I agree with the following basic ideas:
2. Our silent time is not guided by culturally based techniques. It is the simplest possible way of being together in a form that transcends our differences. The fundamental idea is to live the experience of being together without distraction from impressions arising from memory.
3. We seek meaningful exchange and meaningful conversation. The most fundamental ingredient of meaning is to be found in experiences that are lived rather than imagined.
4. We prepare and eat breakfast together and hope to nurture friendship, understanding and a sense of community through mingling and talking. There is no structure to exchanges that take place.
